At the same time, the Bayern centre-back, who played the full 90 minutes, helped his team to a fourth consecutive clean sheet. Minjae and Co continue their campaign on Tuesday with an away match in Oman (16:00 CEST). To qualify automatically for the World Cup finals, South Korea must finish in the top two in the group of six.
Rest for Palhinha
Portugal won their opening fixture of the new UEFA Nations League season on Thursday night without João Palhinha. The midfielder watched from the bench as the Portuguese beat Croatia 2-1. Diogo Dalot (7') and Cristiano Ronaldo (34') netted the goals for the hosts, before an own goal from Dalot (41') made the final score.
