'Red against Racism' supporting the demonstration against antisemitism on 6 October

Munich against antisemitism

Over 100 organisations are supporting the large 'Munich against antisemitism' demonstration on 6 October at Munich's Odeonsplatz – including FC Bayern with its 'Red against Racism' initiative for diversity and against all forms of discrimination. The event begins at 16:00 CET, one and a half hours before kick-off in the team's away match at Eintracht Frankfurt. The idea is to send out a joint signal for humanity and against hate and violence.

The event is under the patronage of Dr Charlotte Knobloch, President of the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria, and Mayor of Munich Dieter Reiter. Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder will also give a speech. In addition to the speeches, the programme includes an 18-minute demonstration starting and finishing at Odeonsplatz, passing important historical sites.

Other supporters include the City of Munich with its Israeli twin city Be’er Sheva, the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site as well as initiatives such as "Lichterkette e.V.“, "München ist bunt!" and "!NieWieder – Erinnerungstag im deutschen Fußball!“
