It was as brilliant as it was vital in securing a result in the 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen as Aleksandar Pavlović scored what Bayern fans have now voted the club’s Goal of the Month for September 2024.
With 39 minutes gone at the Allianz Arena, Leverkusen thought they had cleared the danger when Michael Olise’s cross was repelled from the box, but it came down kindly for Pavlović, who chested the ball, let it bounce before smacking it with his laces. The shot was clocked at over 100 km/h as it flew into the top right corner.

It certainly caught the eye of the majority of Bayern fans, with 52 percent of votes going to Pavlović to finish ahead of Thomas Müller’s landmark strike against Freiburg (33%) and Raphael Guerreiro’s finish against Dinamo Zagreb (17%). It’s Pavlović’s first Goal of the Month award, having already earned Player of the Month twice back in January and February of this year.
