A total of 22 FC Bayern players are currently loaned out to various club in Europe to get match practice and advance their individual development. Over the past week, Bryan Zaraogza, Alexander Nübel, Hyunju Lee, Frans Krätzig, Paul Wanner and Maurice Krattenmacher were able to impress for their national sides.
Bryan Zaragoza: Last-minute winner
Perfect finish to the UEFA Nations League! Spain capped their dominant performance in the group stage with a 3-2 win over Switzerland on Monday night, making it 16 points from six matches. The match-winner of the evening: Bayern loanee Bryan Zaragoza. The 23-year-old winger came on in the 69th minute and was on the pitch when Andi Zeqiri levelled at 2-2 from the penalty spot. In added time, Zaragoza then turned on the turbochargers, shook off one opponent and then could only be stopped by a foul in the box. He took the spot-kick himself and delighted the crowd in Tenerife with the winning goal in the 93rd minute. For Zaragoza, currently on loan at Osasuna, it was his first international goal in his third appearance.
Alexander Nübel: Outstanding in second international
That's how to do your second international! Alexander Nübel, currently on loan at VfB Stuttgart from FCB, kept goal for Germany in the Nations League clash against Hungary and impressed with several crucial saves. For example, the 28-year-old denied Barnabas Varga one-v-one in the 67th minute. "It was a good game," Nübel told ZDF afterwards. "I had a lot to do, it was fun."
Hyunju Lee: Debut in South Korea colours
Hyunju Lee, who's currently loaned to Hannover 96, was also successful with his national team during the week. The 21-year-old made his international debut as a substitute in the World Cup qualifier in Kuwait. Together with Bayern centre-back Minjae Kim, Lee celebrated a 3-1 away win as South Korea cemented their position at the top of their group. It's also going well for Lee on the club front, with Hannover currently leading Bundesliga 2. The winger has scored one goal in nine appearances.
Frans Krätzig and Paul Wanner: Win with U21s
After the successful EURO qualification campaign, it was just friendlies for the Germany U21 national team in the latest international break. Paul Wanner, FCB loanee at 1. FC Heidenheim, was included in the starting line-up but was forced off at half-time with a knock. In the second half, U21 coach Antonio Di Salvo brought on another loanee from the German record champions in Frans Krätzig, who's currently with Stuttgart. The left-back played the final quarter of an hour and helped to see out a 3-0 win at the Tivoli in Aachen.
Maurice Krattenmacher: Double duty for U20s
Finally, Maurice Krattenmacher was involved in two friendlies for the Germany U20 side. The 19-year-old, who's currently on loan to Bundesliga 2 outfit SSV Ulm from FCB, came on midway through the second half of a 4-0 defeat in England. A few days later, the team – including Bayern forward Arijon Ibrahimović – travelled to Istanbul, where Krattenmacher started in Turkey and played the first half in a 2-0 victory. It was the attacking midfielder's fourth outing for the U20 national team, while he's registered one goal and two assists in 12 appearances in Bundesliga 2 so far this season.
