1. Kompany's strong start
Vincent Kompany oversaw his first Bundesliga matches as new FC Bayern head coach and was very successful. The Belgian went unbeaten in his first 13 Bundesliga matches – only Karl-Heinz Feldkamp (14) and Pep Guardiola (28) started with more.
2. Five times three away goals in a row
FC Bayern scored three or more goals in five consecutive Bundesliga away matches from August to October (3-2 against Wolfsburg, 6-1 against Kiel, 5-0 against Bremen, 3-3 against Eintracht Frankfurt, 5-0 against Bochum), a record only FC Bayern had achieved in 2019/20.
3. 22 goals in five away matches
FC Bayern set a new Bundesliga record when they scored the 22 goals in the first five away matches.
4. 47 goals on the road in 2024
Bayern scored 47 away goals in 2024, a new club record and a joint Bundesliga record. Only RB Leipzig had scored as many goals on foreign soil in 2019.
5. Seven clean sheets
FC Bayern won seven competitive matches in a row without conceding from October to November (5-0 against VfL Bochum, 4-0 against Mainz, 3-0 against Union Berlin, 1-0 against Benfica, 1-0 against St. Pauli, 3-0 against FC Augsburg, 1-0 against Paris St. Germain). Bayern only boasted more clean sheets in consecutive competitive matches in 2011 (ten) since their promotion to the Bundesliga.
6. Passes galore against Heidenheim
FC Bayern played 988 passes in the 4-2 victory over Heidenheim at the beginning of December. Munich only played more in a Bundesliga match when they took on Hertha Berlin in March 2014 (1109) since detailed data collection began in 2004/05.
7. Rock-solid defence against Werder
Werder Bremen did not have a single shot at goal in Bayern's 5-0 victory in September. Only Bayer Leverkusen (against Arminia Bielefeld in November 2020) and Bayern (against none other than Bremen in October 2014) allowed no shots at goal since detailed data collection began in 2004/05.
8. Few scares
Bayern only allow 5.1 opposition shots per game on average this Bundesliga campaign – a record since detailed data collection began in 2004/05. The closest number was achieved by FC Bayern themselves in 2015/16, when they allowed 7.5 shots on average.
9. Points guaranteed in last match of the year
FC Bayern have gone unbeaten in 40 consecutive final Bundesliga matches of the year since 1984 (a 3-2 defeat against Borussia Mönchengladbach), winning 26 and drawing 14 – a Bundesliga record. They have won 12 matches in a row since a 1-1 draw against Gladbach on 14 December 2012, another Bundesliga record. The German record champions beat RB Leipzig 5-1 in the last match of 2024.
10. Stunning win rate
FC Bayern won 14 out of 17 Bundesliga home matches in 2024, drawing one and losing two – in Europe's top five leagues, only Real Madrid boast a higher win rate (85 percent) than Munich (82 percent) in 2024.
11. Continuing the Champions League tradition
Not everything is new in Europe's premier club competition as far as FC Bayern is concerned. In the first match of the new-format Champions League, Munich continued a tradition when they downed Dinamo Zagreb 9-1. The German record chamopions have won all of their 21 last openers in the competition, a record.
12. Next record for Kane
Harry Kane scored his 50th goal in his 43rd Bundesliga match in the 3-0 victory over Augsburg in November. No other player needed as few matches for that in Bundesliga history.
13. Impressive number of hat-tricks
Harry Kane bagged four Bundesliga hat-tricks in 2024 – only three players have achieved more hat-tricks in one year in Bundesliga history: Gerd Müller (six in 1972), Dieter Müller (five in 1977) and Mario Gómez (five in 2011).
14. 39 goals for Kane
Harry Kane scored 39 competitive goals for FC Bayern in 2024, more than any other Bundesliga player. The last time players boasted more was 2021, when Erling Haaland scored 43 and Robert Lewandowski found the net 58 times.
15. The eternal Thomas Müller
Thomas Müller made his 474th Bundesliga appearance for FC Bayern in the first match of the campaign, which made him FCB's sole record player in this competition ahead of Sepp Maier (473). Müller now boasts 488 league appearances.
16. Prolific Müller
Müller scored his 150th Bundesliga goal for FC Bayern on Matchday 2 this season – only Gerd Müller (365), Robert Lewandowski (238) and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (162) boast more.
17. The most victories
Thomas Müller celebrated his 350th Bundesliga victory against Leipzig on Matchday 15, more than any other player in history.
18. Milestone for Kimmich
Joshua Kimmich celebrated his 200th victory in his 277th Bundesliga match against Leipzig. Only David Alaba and Thomas Müller needed fewer matches for that (272/275 games).
19. Just 14 seconds
Jamal Musiala scored Bayern's third-quickest Bundesliga goal when he found the net after 14 seconds in the 6-1 victory over Kiel in September. Only Giovane Élber (who scored within 11 seconds against Hamburg in 1998) and Lothar Matthäus (within 13 seconds against Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1986) have scored even quicker goals for Munich.
20. Musiala strong on the road
Musiala scored in six Bundesliga away matches in a row. Aged 21 years and 278 days, he is the second-youngest player in Bundesliga history to achieve this after Dortmund's Werner Weist in 1969/70 (21 years and 10 days).
21. Historic run on foreign soil
Only Gerd Müller (seven in 1969/70) and Robert Lewandowski (eight in 2020/21, a Bundesliga record) have scored in more consecutive away matches than Musiala in Bundesliga history.
22. Olise making history
Michael Olise was involved in four goals in the 5-0 victory over Bremen in September, scoring two and setting up two in his fourth Bundesliga match. No other player has been involved in so many goals so early in his Bundesliga career since detailed data collection began in 2004/05.
23. Zagreb's nightmare
FC Bayern were the first team in history to score nine goals in one Champions League match when they beat Dinamo Zagreb 9-2. It was Bayern's joint-highest Champions League win along with the 7-0 victories over Basel and Shakhtar Donetsk.
24. The most clean sheets
Manuel Neuer kept his 57th clean sheet in the Champions League in the 3-0 victory over Lazio in March, equalling Iker Casillas' record. Neuer now is the sole record holder on 60 clean sheets.
