Bayern agree Adam Aznou loan

FC Bayern have agreed to send defender Adam Aznou on loan to Real Valladolid for the rest of the season. The 18-year-old Morocco international has been at the club since summer 2022, having moved to the FC Bayern Campus from Barcelona’s youth academy.

Christoph Freund, Bayern sporting director: “Adam Aznou has developed really well since his move to Bayern, both at our FC Bayern Campus and in recent months in our first team, where he’s also made his first competitive appearances. Competitive action every week at the highest level is now important for him to take the next step, and Spain’s La Liga is an excellent option for that. Adam will return back to Munich with valuable experience.”

From La Masia to the FC Bayern Campus

Aznou joined Barcelona’s La Masia academy at the age of 13. After joining the FC Bayern Campus, he progressed through the U17s and U19s to break into the senior squad, and in May signed a new contract through to 30 June 2027. The full-back has made 18 appearances for the reserves and made his professional debut for Vincent Kompany’s team in November’s 3-0 win against Union Berlin. He has so far featured three times for the senior side, including once in the Champions League. The teenager has also earned three senior caps for Morocco.
