
Manuel Neuer returned to training with the squad on Friday as he completed drills with his fellow goalkeepers once again. The 39-year-old captain had suffered a strain in his right calf in Bayern’s Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen in early March. Due to a reaction in the muscles during his recovery, Neuer had to sit out again but has now taken his next step towards a comeback by returning to team training.
