Bayern say goodbye to Eric Dier and Thomas Müller

FC Bayern officially said goodbye to Eric Dier and Thomas Müller ahead of the final Bundesliga home game of 2024/25 against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Both will leave the club at the end of this season. President Herbert Hainer, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, deputy CEO Michael Diederich and board member for sport Max Eberl presented the pair with gifts from the club and thanked them for their efforts.

Dier, 31, moved to Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2024. The England international has made 47 competitive appearances for Bayern with Saturday’s game, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He won the Bundesliga during his time with the club.

Müller has been on the books at Bayern since joining from his youth club Pähl in 2009. The club legend has won a record 13 Bundesliga titles, six DFB Cups, eight domestic Supercups, two Champions League titles, two UEFA Super Cups and two FIFA Club World Cups. The 35-year-old also won the 2014 World Cup with Germany. Müller has played a club record 750 matches for Bayern, scoring 248 goals and providing 222 assists.
