Some runners had the (washable) ‘Red against Racism’ tattoo clearly visible on their necks, otherwise the logo adorned many tight calves, while the crowd of participants at the FCB initiative’s information stand in the start/finish area of the ‘Giro di Monaco’ was enormous. Together with the FC Bayern Basketball players under the motto #wecaretogether, FC Bayern once again underlined its commitment to diversity at this year's charity run at the Bellevue di Monaco cultural centre under the patronage of Mayor of Munich Dieter Reiter. To round off the fourth edition of the Giro, in which over 11,000 people took part on Munich's Altstadtring, the Bellevue di Monaco will receive a donation of 6,000 euros. The money was raised in recent months through the sale of ‘Red against Racism’ merchandise.
Herbert Hainer, president of FC Bayern: “We are delighted to make this donation to Bellevue di Monaco to support initiatives that promote diversity. Our thanks go to all FC Bayern fans who, by purchasing our ‘Red against Racism’ merchandise, are sending a visible signal and actively helping at the same time. Most recently, we supported the street football project ‘bunt kickt gut’, and now the Bellevue, with which we have built up a long-standing relationship and which does great work, not least in the area of integration. We are delighted to have been part of the ‘Giro’ again this year.”

This year, more people than ever before sent out a signal for open-mindedness and tolerance under the motto “Nur gemeinsam läuft’s” (“only together will it work”). FC Bayern has already supported the campaign launched by Till Hofmann and the Bellevue team in previous years with donations and calls for participation from president Hainer, Thomas Müller and basketball idols Andreas Obst and Steffen Hamann. FCB is a regular part of social life in Munich with ‘Red against Racism’; among other things, the initiative is integrated into the ‘Dialogue for Democracy’ of the city hall, and has also been present at events such as the city's birthday, the fan zone for last year's European Championship or the SUPERBLOOM festivals on the Olympic grounds, for example with its specially developed diversity quiz.
FC Bayern offered 70 members the exclusive opportunity to complete the German Sports Badge at the start of May:
