FC Bayern attacking midfielder Arijon Ibrahimović is joining Heidenheim on a season-long loan so he can gain further experience with the Bundesliga club. The 19-year-old, who arrived in Munich in 2018 and currently has a contract until 2027 spent the second half of last season on loan at Italian first division club Lazio. Prior to that, he had also spent a year on loan at Frosinone in Serie A.
FC Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund: "Arijon already asserted himself in Italy at the age of 17 and gained valuable experience in Serie A. Now the Bundesliga marks the next important step in his development. He has everything he needs to assert himself in professional football and will gain further match practice at a high level in Heidenheim."
Ibrahimović joined the FC Bayern youth set-up at the age of 12 from Nürnberg and went on to prove his worth in the FC Bayern reserves before making his professional debut against Bochum in February 2023 at the age of 17. After making 18 appearances (two goals) for newly promoted Serie A side Frosinone in the 2023/24 season, the youngster gained further experience at a top European level with Lazio. His last international appearance was with the Germany U20 side.
