Two days before the Club World Cup group match against Boca Juniors, FC Bayern representatives and legends are already in Miami. Markus Meindl (FC Bayern Director of Fan and Fan Club Support), Jan-Henrik Gruszecki (Chief of Staff Strategy and Culture), Carter Toole (Chief of Staff and Head of Communication of the University of Miami Athletic Department) and moderator Prof Anthony Pereira (LACC Director at FIU) talked about fan culture at a panel talk hosted by the German Consulate General Miami. “It isn’t only about mere participation. The members feel part of the club, they are the club,” Markus Meindl said at Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus Miami.
Effenberg in a fan Q&A at panel talk
FCB Legend Stefan Effenberg answered questions from the 100 invited guests in the context of the panel talk. “As captain, I’ve always defended the team against all odds. It’s important for the team structure. Leadership in football hasn’t changed a lot. In our day, it was perhaps a little rougher, especially in public,” said Effenberg.
Giovane Élber at coccer camp
Bayern Legend Giovane Élber too is already at the venue of the match against Boca Juniors. The former world-class forward dropped by the FC Bayern soccer camp in Miami, where children and teenagers aged six to 18 are training with FC Bayern coaches. Élber gave the youngsters some advice in a training session on Wednesday.
