A former fan favourite as a player on the right of defence, Rafinha is once again returning to Munich as the newest member of the FC Bayern Legends team.
The Brazilian right-back made a total of 266 competitive appearances for Bayern, always putting in tireless displays and showcasing his passion and reliability. He lifted seven Bundesliga titles, four DFB Cups and was an integral part of the 2013 treble-winning team.

He may not have been the most spectacular of players, but his contribution was always important. An uncompromising defender working hard up the right flank, whether starting or off the bench, Rafinha was always there when called upon during an eight-year spell with Bayern.
He was also a popular figure off the pitch, always there for teammates and showcasing his famous sense of humour that endeared him to fans and those in the squad. His smile was just as striking as his hard work on the training ground. And it was all genuine with Rafinha.

The Londrina native has now come full circle with his return to Munich. He joins a team that doesn’t just include great names like Giovane Élber, Claudio Pizarro, Stefan Effenberg and Roy Makaay but also embodies the spirit of Bayern over several generations. Rafinha will once again wear Bayern colours at international events and matches, no doubt still with passion, pride and a smile on his face.
