FC Bayern had a record month for fan club approvals in July. With 85 new fan clubs in Germany, it was the strongest month of the year and a new high overall. The fan club boom continues: with 135 foundations in June and July, Germany remains the fan club hub of the German champions. In particular in Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg, a large number of Bayern supporters decided to support their club collectively in future.

But there was also particular momentum in the USA as a result of the FIFA Club World Cup. The fan events at the respective venues were already met with great response and enthusiasm. Ultimately, ten fan clubs were founded in the United States alone in June and July, including in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Washington.
International growth of FCB fan clubs continues
The overall international growth continues: in June and July, 31 fan clubs were registered in Europe, Asia and South America, in countries including England, Brazil, Japan, Nepal and Armenia. Despite the summer break, a total of 62 new FC Bayern fan clubs were formed worldwide in July, highlighting the continued commitment of fans around the globe.

Markus Meindl, director of fans: “Fan clubs not only have a fundamental role in the fan structure of FC Bayern, but also have great social value. The fact that so many new fan clubs have been formed both in Germany and abroad is a sign of the popularity of our club, as well as proof that it’s important to many people to get involved in the social side of clubs, come together and express their attachment to FC Bayern as a community. We’re very pleased about this development and will continue to do everything we can to find a home for all fans at FC Bayern.”
