
Josip Stanišić and the Croatian national team have taken an important step towards qualifying for the 2026 World Cup finals in Mexico, USA and Canada. On Monday evening, national coach Zlatko Dalić's side secured an emphatic 4-0 win over Montenegro in Zagreb. FCB defender Stanišić played the whole 90 minutes and set up Andrej Kramarić's goal to make it 2-0 in the 51st minute. With a perfect haul of 12 points from four games, the Croatians top qualifying Group L and are level on points with the Czech Republic, who have already played one game more.
