A real treat is in store for football connoisseurs on 18 January 2026. After the hugely successful Beckenbauer Cup last March, former world-class players will again be battling it out next year in the FC Bayern Legends Cup. The team from the German record champions, featuring fan favourites Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben with World Cup winner Philipp Lahm as coach, will be taking on some big-name, all-star teams.

Alongside FC Bayern, teams from Real Madrid, Juventus, Celtic, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund will be competing. The indoor tournament therefore promises exciting clashes that will delight football nostalgics. The Beckenbauer Cup, which was held in March to mark the club’s 125th birthday and as a tribute to the late FCB icon, thrilled a total of 9,500 spectators. Bayern claimed an emphatic 4-0 win in the final against a Real Madrid side featuring legends Iker Casillas and Pepe, having seen off Borussia Dortmund in a thrilling semi-final encounter. Fans can look forward to more thrilling games in the new version!
