While Vincent Kompany has most often had a fully fit squad at his disposal throughout the season, he has to contend with seven senior absentees for the final fixture of the year away at Heidenheim on Sunday. As well as captain Manuel Neuer (hamstring), Bayern will also have to do without Tom Bischof and Aleksandar Pavlović (both with a stomach bug), Sacha Boey (ill) and Minjae Kim, who has a knee issue. Nicolas Jackson is on international duty with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Laimer suspended
It was announced on Saturday that Joshua Kimmich would miss the game with an ankle problem. Konrad Laimer is suspended for accumulation of five yellow cards.
