Harry Kane has been voted Personality of the Year 2025 by kicker Sportmagazin – an award that underlines his outstanding importance for FC Bayern far beyond the football pitch.
The England captain, who won kicker’s top scorer award again last season with 26 Bundesliga goals, lifted his first major team title by winning the 2025 Bundesliga – a milestone in his career at FC Bayern. For the kicker editorial team, Kane's exceptional team spirit, his tireless commitment to defence and his down-to-earth attitude off the pitch are what count most. “For the editorial team, the focus was more on the value that the exceptional goalscorer brings as a team player beyond his individual finishing skills, with his running and defensive work rate, which is anything but a given for a classic striker,” the magazine explained of its choice.

Bayern's board member for Max Eberl congratulated the striker on the kicker website: “If I had to describe Harry in three words, I would have said: goals, goals, goals. Now we are extremely fortunate to see him every day at FC Bayern, three words are not enough, but if I had to limit myself, I would say: down-to-earth, world class, game changer – and all of that applies at every level.”
The award has been presented annually since 1990, and Kane is the latest big name to join the list of personalities who have shaped Bayern and German football.
