
Welcome back, Jamal Musiala! 164 days after suffering a serious injury in the Club World Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain, the 22-year-old returned to the pitch on Tuesday morning and was able to take part in some aspects FC Bayern's team training. Musiala was given a warm welcome by his teammates, who formed a guard of honour for him before he took part in the warm-up and some passing drills. The attacking midfielder then continued his individual rehab programme.
Last week, Vincent Kompany had already raised the prospect of the return of the top-class technician: "Jamal is getting close," said the head coach ahead of the Bundesliga clash with Mainz 05: "Hopefully he'll be able to take part in a few training sessions before Christmas. That would just be nice in terms of how it would feel - for the team and for him. And hopefully he'll get his first few minutes in January. That would be the ideal plan for us."

While Musiala was able to take his first steps in team training, the other Bayern players started their final week of preparation for the year. At the end of the week, the Munich men play at 1. FC Heidenheim before heading into their well-earned winter break
