In a short but intense preparation period after the Christmas break, FC Bayern are gearing up for the second half of the season. Before kick-off in Tuesday's friendly match at FC Red Bull Salzburg, coach Vincent Kompany spoke about his current impressions of the team. "After the first training sessions, I already feel like the team are really fired up again. We are very motivated for what we want to achieve in 2026,” said Kompany, who also looked ahead to the busy period after the winter break with seven games in 21 days: “It's not just the midweek fixtures, but also three games in six days. That's pretty intense, especially when you're coming back from holiday. But the holiday wasn't that long, the programme was good and the lads are fit. If the squad gets through this phase, we'll be in a very strong position going into the part of the season where everything is decided."
