Alexander Nübel has agreed a transfer from FC Bayern to join Besiktas in Türkiye. The 29-year-old goalkeeper had moved to Munich on a free transfer from Schalke in 2020, most recently playing on loan at VfB Stuttgart.
Max Eberl, FC Bayern board member for sport: “Alexander Nübel is a very good goalkeeper who has consistently developed and established himself at FC Bayern, Monaco and Stuttgart. He now wants to take the next step at Besiktas. We wish him all the best for his future.”
Nübel won the Bundesliga, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and domestic Supercup during his first season at Bayern, in which he made four appearances. The goalkeeper then went out on loan to Monaco and later Stuttgart to continue his development. He has three senior caps for Germany and was part of the squad at this summer’s World Cup in North America.
