France with FC Bayern pros Michael Olise and Dayot Upamecano booked a berth in the World Cup Round of 16 thanks to a commanding performance. The Équipe Tricolore beat Sweden 3-0 in East Rutherford on Tuesday evening. Bayern forward Olise once more shone with outstanding moments and set up two goals. Upamecano and his teammates allowed almost nothing at the back.

Olise’s sideways scissor-kick hit the post (32’) before Kylian Mbappé handed France the lead shortly before half-time (45’). France were even more dominant after the restart and Olise’s fine pass invited Bradley Barcola to make it two (53’). Olise also set up Mbappé’s goal (74’) to put the game to bed. Olise, who was subbed off after 84 minutes, has set up five goals so far at this World Cup. Only the legendary Pelé has recorded more assists (six) during one tournament.
