Ismael Saibari has chosen the number 34 shirt at FC Bayern. The number is a matter close to the heart for the Moroccan and has a deeper meaning. His friend Abdelhak Nouri collapsed on the pitch in a friendly between Ajax and Werder Bremen in July 2017. “He survived but hasn’t been able to move unaided since then,” says Ismael Saibari: “I’m supporting him by wearing the 34, it was his last number.”
In the past, mainly young talents wore the number 34 shirt at FC Bayern. Among others, Sandro Wagner (2007/08), Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (2012-16), Marco Friedl (2016-18) and most recently Deniz Ofli (2025/26) wore it.
