FC Bayern Women victorious over Hamburg in the Bundesliga

FC Bayern Women ran out 6-0 winners against Hamburg in their final Bundesliga home game of 2025, extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to 13 matches. With CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen in attendance at the FC Bayern Campus, Giulia Gwinn put the Munich Frauen ahead before Georgia Stanway’s penalty and Klara Bühl made it 3-0 by half-time. A Victoria Schulz own goal and headers from Pernille Harder and Lea Schüller in the second half rounded out the three points against the promoted visitors.

Thanks to volunteers

As part of the German FA’s campaign to honour volunteers, clubs in Germany showed their thanks to those who donate their time. The players from both teams came together for a picture to show their appreciation.

First-half dominance

Bayern controlled proceedings from the off but needed 10 minutes to create their first notable chance when Momoko Tanikawa and Bühl were both denied by HSV goalkeeper Inga Schuldt. However, she was only able to parry a Stanway shot moments later, with Gwinn firing the bouncing on the follow-up into the top corner from an angle to open the scoring.

The defending champions were often able to work their way into the Hamburg box but without getting away a telling shot. Stanway got into the area shortly before the half-hour mark and was bundled over by Mia Büchele before converting the ensuing penalty. A third goal followed with the last kick of the half when Bühl fired in a cleared corner from the edge of the box.

Three headed goals

The Munich Frauen added a fourth immediately after the restart when Schulz headed a Gwinn cross into her own net. With an hour played, Carolin Simon delivered a free-kick from the left that Harder could nod in for the fifth of the afternoon and get on the scoresheet for the sixth Bundesliga game in a row. Bayern rounded off a dominant display with a sixth goal in the closing minutes when another Simon free-kick into the box was met by the head of Schüller.
