Skorvankova joins from SC Sand

The FCB Women have made another new signing for next season with Dominika Skorvankova joining from SC Sand. The 25 year-old attacker has signed a contract at FCB until 30th June 2019. “I find FC Bayern a very likeable team and I’m sure that it’ll be the right move,” said the Slovakian international.

Team manager Karin Danner was delighted with the acquisition: “The opportunity to sign Dominika presented itself. We’ve already signed one striker from Sand in Jovana Damnjanovic and I’m confident the two will make a good partnership. She brings great battling qualities and desire. We believe she’ll boost our play with her dynamism, strength and willingness.”

As well as her footballing ability, Skorvankova brings a pedigree in winning titles. The 2009 Slovakian women’s footballer of the year enjoyed four league titles in her native country with Slovan Bratislava between 2009 and 2012 as well as three cup successes (2009, 2011 and 2012). She’s also won the Austrian national league twice (2013 and 2014). Now she wants to add the German title to her collection with Bayern. “I want to win the title!” declared Skorvankova.

Skorvankova is the FCB Women’s fourth signing for the 2017/18 season, following Kristin Demann, Jovana Damnjanovic and Jill Roord.
