"I'm really overwhelmed. It feels like a bit of a rollercoaster right now," said head coach Jens Scheuer after the 4-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt and the German title for 2020/21. Simone Laudehr played her last professional game, and her joy was almost limitless. "I've been looking forward to it for years and I've finally won it. This is the perfect ending." fcbayern.com has compiled more reaction to the championship.
Reaction to the title
Jens Scheuer: "I'm really overwhelmed. It feels like a bit of a rollercoaster right now. I think this title was more deserved than ever before. We've adjusted to the fact that the opponents will give everything and it won't be a walk in the park. It was clear it would take us a few minutes to get settled because there was lots of nervousness and tension. But the way the team moved the ball and scored, that's what distinguishes them. Huge compliments to my team. I'm delighted we managed to bring the title home again after 2016. This is a huge success."
Linda Dallmann: "It's indescribable! We can't really grasp it yet. I think it will take a while to process all of this. I'm looking forward to the evening with the team. I think we have some experienced players on the team who support us in moments like the first few minutes. With the early goal, we brought calm into the game and finished with confidence. I'm happy and proud of the team."
Simone Laudehr: "Indescribable! It was very tough. We put in so much sweat and energy as a team. It was nice I got a few more minutes and provided an assist. To leave the pitch with the championship trophy is unbelievable. I probably don't even realise it yet. It won't sink in for a few days. For me, the league title comes just behind the World Cup in 2007. I've finished second for so long and kept fighting for the title again and again. I've been looking forward to it for years and now I've finally won it. This is the perfect ending."
