Maximiliane Rall extends Bayern contract

Having already agreed six contract extensions over the course of the current season, FC Bayern has tied down another player: defender Maximiliane Rall has extended her contract in Munich until 2024.

'Feel totally comfortable'

Rall joined Bayern in summer 2021 after six years at Hoffenheim, where she gained her first Bundesliga experience. The Rottweil native has made 57 appearances for FCB Women since, scoring 19 goals. The versatile full-back is delighted to be extending her stay in Munich: "I'm pleased that I can be here for another year. I feel totally comfortable in the team. FC Bayern have ambitious aims and a very good team, and I'll continue to give my best for them."

Maximiliane Rall will be celebrating again for FC Bayern next season.

Versatility a key strength

Head coach Alexander Straus knows what marks the 29-year-old out: "Maxi has a great mentality. She has good timing and scores a lot of goals. She can play in different positions and is very versatile. That's one of her biggest attributes, which is very helpful to us." The 1.8-metre tall Rall has been an important part of the FC Bayern Women team since her move. "We have a very strong squad and very good players. We want to keep this team together and not change too much, which is why it's important for us to keep Maxi. We're building something, we're developing and we're evolving together. It's only the start of the process. Maxi has also made good progress this year and will continue that here next season," added Straus.

'Be as successful as possible'

Rall remains hungry for goals and success with Bayern next season: "Of course we want to be as successful as possible again and get a bit further than we did this year in one or two competitions. I also hope I stay fit and keep enjoying football." She holds her teammates particularly dear. "We all get along great with each other. I've met a lot of friends here and got to know a lot of nice people. You always learn something and that's very important for me too."
