Tuva Hansen in opening match with Norway
The Group A match between co-hosts New Zealand and Norway on Thursday 20 July at 9:00 at Eden Park in Auckland marks the start of the tournament. Bayern will be represented in the opener by Norway's Tuva Hansen. The Scandinavians then take on Switzerland on Matchday 2 in an all-European clash on Tuesday 25 July at 10:00 at the Waikato Stadium in Hamilton, New Zealand. Hansen and Co conclude the group stage back at Eden Park with a meeting against World Cup debutants Philippines on Sunday 30 July (9:00).
Bayern battle in Group D
Bayern are represented twice in Group D through new signing Pernille Harder with Denmark as well as England's Georgia Stanway. While Harder and the Danes face China in their opening group game on Saturday 22 July (14:00), Stanway and the European champions kick off against Haiti at 11:30 on the same day. The Bayern pair then face off on Friday 28 July at 10:30 at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney. On Matchday 3, England play China in Adelaide and Denmark meet Haiti in Perth, with both fixtures taking place on Tuesday 1 August at 13:00.
Netherlands with Jill Baijings in Group E
Bayern Women's newest recruit, Jill Baijings, is travelling to the World Cup with Netherlands, who are in Group E together with Portugal, Vietnam and holders USA. The 2019 runners-up begin their campaign on Sunday 23 July at 9:30 against Portugal in Dunedin, New Zealand. Then on Matchday 2 there's a repeat of the last World Cup final as Baijings and her side do battle with the Americans at the Sky Stadium in Wellington on Thursday 27 July (3:00). The match against World Cup debutants Vietnam on Tuesday 1 August (9:00) completes the group stage for the Dutch.
Sweden and new signing Eriksson in Group G
Bayern are also represented by another of their summer signings in the form of Swede Magdalena Eriksson. Her Sweden team are in Group G alongside Argentina, South Africa and Italy, starting against South Africa on Sunday 23 July at 7:00 in New Zealand's capital Wellington. In their second group match, the third-placed team from the 2019 World Cup meet Italy at the same venue on Saturday 29 July (9:30). Finally, it's off to Hamilton, where the Scandinavians take on Argentina on Wednesday 2 August at 9:00.
Four Germans in Group H
There are four Munich girls in the Germany squad. Lina Magull, Klara Bühl, Sydney Lohmann and Lea Schüller play their first match of the tournament against another World Cup newcomer, Morocco, on Monday 24 July at 10:30. Bayern's Carolin Simon had to drop out of Martina Voss-Tecklenburg's squad at the last minute due to a cruciate ligament tear. The Germans also play Colombia on Sunday 30 July at 11:30 in Sydney before meeting South Korea on the final matchday of the group stage in Brisbane on Thursday 3 August (12:00).
