Karólína Lea Vilhjálmsdóttir has joined Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan for 2023/24. The midfielder joined FC Bayern Women in January 2021 from Breiðablik Kópavogur in her native Iceland. She’s made 37 first-team appearances during her time in Munich, plus three for the second string. She got her only senior goal for Die Frauen in the Champions League, but did strike three times in her games for the reserves. The 21-year-old should now gain further match practice in the Bundesliga at Leverkusen.
