Stats and facts ahead of hosting Eintracht Frankfurt

FC Bayern Women host Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena on Saturday for Matchday 4 of the Google Pixel Bundesliga. Read up on the stats and facts ahead of the defending champions’ league debut at the Allianz.

1. FCB clear favourites

Looking back on the last 12 meetings between Bayern and Eintracht, the record is very much in favour of the Munich club with 10 wins to only one for Frankfurt. The sole draw in that run came in the opening match of last season’s Bundesliga with a 0-0 in Frankfurt.

2. Schüller the Eintracht expert

Since moving to Bayern in 2020, Lea Schüller has scored a goal in all four of her home games against Frankfurt. The 25-year-old is currently the top attacking outlet in Alexander Straus’s team with two goals and an assist this term.

Bayern want to build on their last two wins as they host Eintracht.

3. Strong at home

Die Frauen have won each of their last 19 home games in the Bundesliga – a club record. The last team to go on a longer winning run in the top flight was Wolfsburg over 10 years ago with 20 in a row. Bayern could now equal that Bundesliga record at the Allianz Arena.

4. Same position as last year

Since the 2-2 draw in Freiburg on the opening night of the season, Bayern have recorded back-to-back 2-0 wins over Köln and Essen. The reigning champions have therefore started this campaign just as they did the last with seven points after three games. Now it’s about getting on a run of even more wins.

Tickets are still available for Saturday at the Allianz Arena:
