5 facts on the Bundesliga clash against Hoffenheim

A Saturday game at the Campus! Finishing the first half of the season, FC Bayern Women host TSG Hoffenheim on Matchday 11 of the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga. After the draw at AS Roma in the UEFA Women's Champions League, Alexander Straus' side are aiming to get back to winning ways in the league. fcbayern.com has compiled the key facts on the clash against the SInsheim club.

1. Positive record against TSG

FCB Women have mostly fared well against Hoffenheim. The two teams have met 14 times in all competitions, with the Munich girls winning 12 of them – including all the last four.

2. Best defence versus best attack

Having conceded a mere four goals and kept seven clean sheets in the first 10 matches, the reigning German champions boast the best defence in the league. Hoffenheim, however, have scored a league-leading 26 goals. By way of comparison, TSG have conceded 16 while FCB have scored 19.

3. Schüller Hoffenheim's nemesis

Stanway, Schüller and Zadrazil celebrate after a goal.

Lea Schüller fired Bayern to a 1-0 against Hoffenheim last season.

One Bayern player in particular likes playing against Hoffenheim. Lea Schüller has scored a whopping eight goals in seven competitive meetings with TSG in the red and white shirt. The Germany international has found the net three times in the league so far this season, and scored a brace in Rome in midweek.

4. Naschenweng up against ex-club

It's a special match for Katharina Naschenweng. The left-back scored 15 goals in 90 appearances for Hoffenheim from 2018 to 2023, before moving to Munich last summer. In the visitors' squad there's Gia Corley, who played a total of 56 games for Bayern from U17 to first-team level.
