First episode released on Thursday
In cooperation with Allianz, FC Bayern Women’s main partner, an in-depth documentary was created for the first time, for which over 300 hours of film material was produced during the 2023/24 season. FC Bayern Women were represented by the entire team at the premiere at the Allianz Arena. The first episode of the six-part series, with episodes lasting 30 to 40 minutes each, will be broadcast on fcbayern.com and FC Bayern's YouTube channel on Thursday, 12 September at 4pm CEST. Fans can also look forward to further exclusive content on the Allianz x FC Bayern Hub (allianz.com/fcbayern).
Herbert Hainer, FC Bayern president: “The importance of FC Bayern Women within the club is enormous. The days when the women trained and played on the sidelines with borrowed balls are long gone. The players have stories to tell that go beyond sport - stories that are recognised and that inspire. I’m proud that we can present this documentary today, and we are very proud of our women's team.”
Alexander Straus, FC Bayern Women head coach: “It's a privilege to be part of this club. The documentary is a great portrayal of this and provides great insights. It shows honestly and unfiltered who we are. When I watch the documentary, I realise once again that I'm in the right place.”
Sarah Zadrazil, FC Bayern Women player: “We all had a great evening at the premiere. When you watch the episodes, you think about the season again and what you've experienced. They're all real emotions. The documentary shows what great characters we have in the team. And it also shows how important the team behind the team is.”
