FC Bayern Women have signed Magou Doucouré. The 23-year-old French defender joins from Lille on a one-year contract until 2025. Doucouré will wear the number 22 in Munich.
Doucouré made 111 appearances for Lille last season, having previously played 78 French top-flight games for Reims (one goal). The right-back has also earned six caps for France’s U23s.
Francisco De Sá Fardilha, FC Bayern Women technical director: “Magou can play in different positions, which is an important factor for us. She’s already proven her ability as a full-back and centre-back against some of the best forwards in the world. She’s shown fighting spirit and character in tough moments. That attitude will benefit us.”
Magou Doucouré: “I’m very happy and proud to have signed for Bayern Munich. I’ll do my all to help the team with my strengths and to achieve our goals. I could sense great ambition within the team in the first training sessions. You always have to give your best. And that’s exactly what you need if you want to achieve great things.”
