FCB Women to host Bayer Leverkusen at Allianz Arena in opening match

A top match to kick off the Women’s Bundesliga! On 6 September (kick-off 17:45 CEST), the big opening fixture of the 2025/26 Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga season will take place at the Allianz Arena, with champions FC Bayern Munich hosting Bayer 04 Leverkusen, who finished fourth last term. This was confirmed by the German Football Association (DFB) on Tuesday. Tickets for the headline match, including choice of seats, are available from now for all categories from the FCB Ticket Shop.

Klara Bühl: ‘Means a lot to us’

Klara Bühl and team-mates are already excited for their fifth appearance at the Allianz Arena. “We’re really looking forward to this opening match, it means a lot to us!” commented Bühl. “We’ve experienced a lot of highlights recently but this match will stand out again. We certainly want to start the new season with a win, and we’ll need the support from the stands for that against Leverkusen. Our fan base is growing and growing, and that pushed us in every game last season – particularly in the big matches, be it at home or away. I’m therefore very confident and already looking forward to what will be a huge feast of football, with Bayern fans cheering us on in big numbers.”

First Arena outing for Oberdorf, Harder & Co

Before the new season gets under way, the majority of the FCB Women squad will be involved in the European Championship in Switzerland (2-27 July). Hopefully one or two will return to Munich for the opening match as European champions. In any case, for several members of the squad it will be a first, as the likes of Lena Oberdorf, Pernille Harder and Momoko Tanikawa have never played in a home game at the Allianz Arena.

After three Champions League fixtures and one Bundesliga match to date, this will be Bayern Women’s fifth competitive outing at the Allianz Arena. The current attendance record stands at 24,000 from the Champions League group match against Barcelona. Let’s try to break it!
