FC Bayern Women know their opponents in the DFB Cup round of 16. The defending double winners will travel to FC Ingolstadt in a Bavarian derby between 15 and 17 November. Rudi Völler, director of the men’s senior and U21 national teams, conducted the draw, assisted by Valentina Maceri, who pulled out the names.
Repeat of 2022

Ingolstadt and Bayern previously met in the cup three years ago. The Munich girls eased to a 7-0 victory in the second round on that occasion, with Lea Schüller, Linda Dallmann, Saki Kumagai, Lina Magull, Caro Simon, Giulia Gwinn and Klara Bühl all scoring.
The two sides also played each other in pre-season last year, with the German champions again coming out on top and winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Simon, Alara Şehitler and Jovana Damnjanović.
Dramatic first-round win
Ingolstadt, who currently play in Women’s Bundesliga 2, have already shown in this cup campaign that they’re not to be taken lightly. Benjamin Stolte’s side had another Bavarian derby in the first round against Bundesliga promoted team 1. FC Nürnberg. In a thrilling contest that had to be decided by penalties after finishing 2-2 after extra time, Die Schanzerinnen held their nerve in the shootout (4-2) to advance to the last 16 of the DFB Cup.
