FC Bayern Women extend Bundesliga record with 50,000 tickets sold!

A few days before the opening match of the Google Pixel Bundesliga on 6 September, FC Bayern Women have reached a new milestone with 50,000 tickets already sold for the home match against Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena – continuing to raise the record bar for a league match in German women's football!

Big clash to kick off the season

The match at the Allianz Arena will be a historic event. Never before have so many tickets been sold for a Women's Bundesliga match in Germany. The previous attendance record of 38,365 fans, set in 2022 during the match between Köln and Eintracht Frankfurt, has therefore been significantly surpassed.

The Bundesliga season is about to kick off with a home game against Leverkusen – a match that promises to be exciting both in terms of sport and atmosphere. Leverkusen finished last season in fourth place, presenting themselves as a compact, ambitious team. However, FC Bayern had the upper hand in both games last season, starting with a spectacular encounter in which the Munich Frauen fought back from two goals down to win the game 3-2 in injury time with Alara Şehitler's maiden goal. That was followed by a confident 2-0 win in Munich. The opening game of the new season is also sure to be exciting, especially considering the historic, record-breaking 50,000+ spectators at the Allianz Arena adding to the atmosphere.
