3-1 win on Friday night

FC Bayern Women maintain perfect record with late victory over Werder Bremen

FC Bayern Women made it nine wins out of nine to maintain their perfect record in the 2026/27 Google Pixel Bundesliga with a 3-1 victory at home to Werder Bremen on Friday night. Edna Imade had put the champions ahead in the first half, before the visitors equalised after the restart through Elena Dhont. Late goals from Linda Dallmann and Jovana Damnjanović then earned all three points for Bayern.

Edna heads in opener

Bayern were on the front foot from the start and had the first attempt inside two minutes when Dallmann played in Sarah Mattner, whose effort from the edge of the area went just wide of the far post. However, Bremen had opted not to sit back in Munich and looked to press, meaning José Barcala’s side often resulted to long balls. The visitors had their first opportunity in the 18th minute when Juliane Wirtz got on the end of a cross but didn’t connect properly, giving Regina van Eijk a simple stop.

Midway through the first half, Bayern broke the deadlock when Dallmann played the ball out right to Mattner, whose cross into the middle was met by Edna to head home and give Bayern a narrow half-time lead.

Dallmann and Damnjanović seal win

Kassandra Potsi had a chance early after the restart, but the ball got away from her before she could shoot. Instead, it was Werder who got the next goal to equalise when Lilli Purtscheller got down the right and crossed low for Dhont to turn in on the slide at the near post.

Bayern looked to respond and had a long-range effort from substitute Momoko Tanikawa. They finally got the reward for their efforts in the 84th minute when a Potsi shot was only repelled by goalkeeper Vanessa Fischer, with Dallmann there to put away the rebound. Damnjanović on her 200th Bayern appearance then wrapped up the three points with a finish across goal from the right as Bayern extend their unbeaten Bundesliga run to 51 games.
