Bianca Rech has been director of FC Bayern Women since 2024. She has been in charge of the team since 2019 and was named head of section in 2023, succeeding Karin Danner. A former player at Bayern, she returned to the club in 2016, first working in the management team where she distinguished herself through her great dedication and extensive expertise.
Born in the Rhineland, she began her football career at Bad Neuenahr and went on to play for FFC Frankfurt, Sunnanå SK in Sweden, Bayern and Köln. She won the league and cup double three times with Frankfurt and also lifted the UEFA Women’s Cup.
Rech also represented Germany, winning 20 senior caps. Among her greatest achievements are winning the U18 European Championship and the Algarve Cup. After retiring from playing, she moved into management and has since played a key role in shaping the development and professionalisation of women’s football at Bayern.
