The final day of the Audi Summer tour got off to a leisurely start – Niko Kovac dispensed with a morning training session and instead sent his team on a walk through Kansas City. After a rest in the afternoon, it was back to action again: FC Bayern beat the 18-time Italian champions AC Milan 1-0 at the Children's Park to round off the USA tour on a high.

"We played really well today. The players gave their all in both halves, created one or two chances that could have led to goals," said Niko Kovac before heading straight from the stadium to the airport for a night flight to Munich. fcbayern.com sums up what else happened before departure on day nine of the tour.

Both gave a completely positive summing up and thanked everybody involved in the organisation and implementation of the tour. "You have to say, the way the tour was organised could not have been bettered," said Rummenigge in summarising the trip to the USA.

Elber in action on his birthday

That was nowhere near the end of the day for the two legends. For the game against AC Milan, FC Bayern invited fans to the fan fest at the No Other Pub in the city centre of Kansas City in the afternoon. Stephan Lehmann was the MC, Elber and Matthäus were busy signing autographs and posing for photos – and, of course, there had to be a birthday serenade for Giovane. Later, it was off to the stadium where the record champions also provided entertainment for the fans before kick-off. In addition to selfies with the legends, there was also the opportunity to have pictures taken with the Bundesliga Meisterschale.
