A mazy dribble, followed by an excellent finish: Serge Gnabry's goal to put Bayern 4-0 up in the 66th minute of the win away to Köln was well worth watching. The Germany international picked up the ball in the opposition half and hared towards the penalty area. Around 18 metres from goal, he elegantly skipped past the onrushing Jonas Hector and then took aim at the far post – and his shot left keeper Timo Horn clutching at thin air before hitting the back of the net.
It was the crowning glory of Gnabry's powerful performance on the occasion of a special milestone, as the 24-year-old made his 50th Bundesliga appearance for the record champions on Sunday evening. This landmark nature of the match seemed to inspire the forward, as he added his name to the scoresheet in just the 12th minute with a firm drive for Bayern’s third goal. Gnabry now has ten goals plus assists in the last 11 Bundesliga matches (7 goals, 3 assists).
Gnabry was involved in almost all the Reds’ attacking moves against the Rhineland side and shot at goal more often (8) than any other Munich player. The winger once again demonstrated his liking for matches against the men from Cologne. He has scored in four of his five league games against FC Köln and amassed six goals in the process, more than against any other team in the top flight.
