FC Bayern’s opening Bundesliga schedule is now confirmed. The German Football League (DFL) announced the dates and kick-off times for Matchdays 1 to 5 in the German top flight on Thursday – covering all the fixtures up until the end of September.
Augsburg away on 30 August
One week after the already confirmed opening match against RB Leipzig (Friday 22 August, 20:30*) at the Allianz Arena, Vincent Kompany’s side hit the road for the first time – albeit not very far for the away match at Bavarian neighbours FC Augsburg (Saturday 30 August, 18:30). Following the first international break of the campaign, Bundesliga returnees Hamburger SV visit Munich on Saturday 13 September (18:30).
On the opening weekend of Oktoberfest, FCB travel to TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday 20 September (15:30) before hosting SV Werder Bremen the following Friday, 26 September at 20:30. As ever, the full fixture list can be found in the Matchplan – link below:
