During training, Kingsley Coman played as if he'd never been away. Bayern began their preparations on Wednesday morning for the upcoming Bundesliga match against SC Paderborn on Friday evening, and the Frenchman was already seen whizzing down the line, connecting with precise crosses in shooting practice, running for every ball and even scoring goals himself.

Eight weeks out with injury overcome
That the 23-year-old is in such good shape again was not to be taken for granted. It was only at the end of the year that the attacker, who had already suffered a number of injuries during his time with the German record champions, suffered another setback and tore a ligament in his left knee in the Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur (3-1). With a fighting attitude, however, Coman has come back quickly, and with the help of the medical unit, physiotherapists and fitness coaches at Bayern, he's now back on the pitch just eight weeks later.
The sour note in the 3-1 win over Tottenham: Coman, despite scoring early on and shining during the game, was forced off injured.
Back with a goal on his return to the starting XI against Köln
In the Bundesliga top of the table clash against RB Leipzig, the winger had his first runout after injury, which made his coach very happy: "We're pleased and really happy," said Hansi Flick a few days later and thanked everyone involved in Coman's return to fitness. Just one week later, Coman also thanked the staff in his own way. On his return to the starting lineup in the 4-1 win at 1. FC Köln, Bayern's number 29 scored in the 5th minute to make it 2-0, and it's all but certain that it won't be the last time Coman finds himself on the scoresheet - true to the motto: #Comanbackstronger!
