Now it's official: Thomas Müller is the undisputed assist king of the Bundesliga! With an assist in the 4-0 victory over VfL Wolfsburg, the Bavarian surpassed Kevin De Bruyne's previous best-mark and now is alone at the top of the standings, having notched up 21 assists in one season, the most since detailed data collection began in 2004/05. But this was not the only milestone that Müller achieved on the day.

Pinpoint pass

Müller went straight onto the front foot on Saturday, setting the record after only three minutes. Robert Lewandowski directed Manuel Neuer's long ball to the 30-year-old, whose perceptive pass released Kingsley Coman, inviting the winger to open the scoring.

Century of goals

Müller proved he can also score goals when he netted his eighth this term with ten minutes to go. The native Bavarian proved his positional intelligence when he got hold of a loose ball following a Davies cross, crashing into the near corner of the net to round off the scoreline and Bayern's century of goals this season, a perfect finish to memorable Bundesliga campaign.
