A top of the table clash and a milestone duel! On Saturday morning, league leaders FC Bayern face third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt for the 100th time in the Bundesliga. Find out why the good form and attacking strength of the two teams promises an exciting clash on Matchday 22:

1. Bayern lead historical ranking

FC Bayern have won six of their last seven competitive games against Eintracht (one defeat) and also clearly lead the overall record in the Bundesliga with 55 wins in 99 meetings (22 draws, 22 defeats). Nevertheless, the Munich men must be wary, as Frankfurt are the only Bundesliga team (along with Borussia Mönchengladbach) against whom FCB have lost more away games than won.

2. League leaders visit the best team of 2021

Saturday's clash is between the German top flight's two in-form teams. Frankfurt are the only team still undefeated in 2021 and they lead the 'virtual table' for the year with 22 points. FC Bayern are just behind with 19 points since the turn of the year.

3. Best Bundesliga attacks face off

Hansi Flick's team have already scored 61 goals this season. This equals the Bundesliga record set by Hamburger SV in 1981/2 for the most goals in the first 21 games. Eintracht have their best record in 30 years at this point in the season with 43 goals, making them the second-best attacking side in the league.

Alphonso Davies entered the goalscorer list for the first time this Bundesliga season in the 3-3 draw against Bielefeld.

4. Bayern set an example for Europe's reigning champions

FC Bayern are five points clear of second-placed Leipzig going into Bundesliga Matchday 22, proving their dominant status in Europe. FCB are currently the only defending champions in first place in the table in the continent's top 6 leagues. This is not the case in England, Spain, Italy, France or Portugal.

5. Encouragement for both sides

A 1-0 lead should not give either of the two sides much security. Bayern have amassed 19 points after falling behind this season, the most in the league. Behind them are their opponents from Hesse, who have collected 15 points from games after falling behind.
