The Bayern basketball players will start the 2018/2019 season with an away game in Ulm, the opening match of the 53rd Bundesliga season will likely tip-off on Friday, September 28th at 20:30 CEST. The German champion will make their home debut at the Audi Dome in the following week - on Tuesday or Wednesday (2/3 October) - against promoted team, Rasta Vechta. On the following weekend (6th/7th October) the Cup of 16 final will take place, the date of the draw is still unclear.
The first match in the Euroleague has also been decided: FCBB will celebrate its return to the premier class with a home game against the Turkish top team Efes Istanbul on Friday, 12 October (20:30 CEST). Tickets for the Euroleague and easyCredit BBL matches will be available from mid/end of July.
The double winner's training plan is also taking shape. The first official training takes place on August 18th before the following day's six-day training camp in Riva del Garda/Italy on Lake Garda. The first test match for the Bavarians will take place there on Friday, August 24th at 19:00 CEST against the Italian vice champion Trento.
The first domestic appearance of the Bavarians has also been confirmed: For a benefit game for the "LebensWert Iserlohn" association (supporting the Checkpoint youth centre, Lichtblick social centre and the FlüchtlingsNetzWerk) they will compete on Wednesday, September 6th at 19:30 CEST at the ProB second division team Iserlohn Kangaroos. As in the previous year, two weeks later the Munich team will participate in the high-class tournament in Zadar/Croatia (20. - 23.9.), this time the Euroleague competition of ZSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce Istanbul, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olimpia Milan has also been announced.
