The Bavarian basketball players can welcome their first newcomer for the coming season: Leon Radosevic joiins Munich the winner of two separate championships in 2018. The 28-year-old Center has signed a contract for three years until summer 2021. The German Croatian has already played in the Bundesliga for Berlin and most recently Bamberg, where he made use of an exit clause. In the EuroLeague Radosevic brings the experience of 147 games played (7.1 ppg, 3.2 rpg), in the BBL 176 games (7 ppg, 3.4 rpg) are also in the books.

"It is a really great honour and a challenge for me to become a member of the Bayern Munich family," said Leon Radosevic, who will pay a first visit to the Audi Dome in the next few days. "My priority for the coming season will be to do my best as a person and player to grow with the team so that we can achieve new goals and new heights. I'm really looking forward to next season."

Bavaria's Sports Director Daniele Baiesi said: "Leon has proven in his five years in Germany what an effective and modern big man he is. His contribution is not always numbers or highlights - he is one of the top people for things that do not appear on the statistics sheet. I had the privilege of working with him for two years and that's why we didn't hesitate a second when the possibility of getting him became concrete."

The low-post player made his professional debut in 2009 for the Croatian top club Cibona Zagreb. This was followed by a two-year contract with Armani Milan, which after the first season lent him to Lithuania (Vilnius) for half a year. From 2013 to 2015 Radosevic played in the BBL for Alba Berlin, after a subsequent interlude with Besiktas Istanbul, he won a championship with Bamberg. In three years he won two championships and a cup with his home club. Last season Radosevic scored 7.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in the German league.

Born in Sisak, Croatia, he went through the local teams of his home country early on and won bronze medals with Croatia's youngsters at the 2008 U18 European Championship and the U19 World Championship. With the pros from Cibona in 2009 he won the double and 2010 once again the championship. He celebrated the cup victory with Berlin in 2014. In August 2017 Leon Radosevic was granted German citizenship and he is now married and has one daughter.
