Only about 16 hours after their home victory over Giessen (94-75), the FC Bayern Basketball team had to leave for the next BBL road game at BG Göttingen. Due to the winter storm warnings about "Sabine" and the cancelled train connections, the FCBB started the approximately seven-hour journey in the team bus on Monday morning, and so the team will then return to Munich the same way. Tip-off in Goettingen is on Tuesday (February 11th) at 20:30 - MagentaSport will broadcast the game as usual.
Afterwards, the German champions will have nine days off before the big-timme EuroLeague favorite, Anadolu Efes Istanbul (only three losses) will visit the Audi Dome on Friday, February 21st at 20:30.

Goettingen already home wins against Berlin and Oldenburg
Before the presumably most difficult home game of this season in the top class a difficult Goettingen is still in the way. Coach Johan Roijakkers' team recently lost relatively clearly at Alba Berlin (96-71) on Sunday, after they had held their ground well until halftime. But all in all, the near-relegated team from the previous season is playing a surprisingly strong season and are in tenth place with an 8-10 record while the playoffs are even in sight.

"Goettingen has been in excellent form for weeks now and is extremely strong at home. They are very offensive-oriented and score well over 50 percent of their threes at home," said Bayern coach Oliver Kostic. "Of course, we're looking forward to the break, and we can regenerate during this break, especially the players who have been suffering, and finally get some practice. But before that, we have to tap into all our energy reserves and give everything we have to be able to win here as well."

During the furious winning streak of the BG in January, Alba Berlin was also defeated at home (72-71) by the upstarts while cup finalist Oldenburg also lost (104-87). The FCBB should be aware anyway after only a final Coponen three at the final siren in the first leg happily prevented the first BBL loss in the Audi Dome this season. Bennet Hundt (19 points, 4/5 three, 4 assists), Mihajlo Andric (16) and Dominic Lockhart (14) were all very solid in the last matchup.
The two top scorers for the team from Lower Saxony are Ryan Anderson (14.7 ppg) and Dylan Osetkowski (13 ppg).
