When the Bavarians receive BG Goettingen on Sunday afternoon (8.12.), less than 72 hours after the difficult EuroLeague game in Tel Aviv, they will naturally be the favorites. The guests have only two wins this season while the defending champion is still undefeated. And yet, such duels are certainly not a sure thing for the league leader at the moment.
Tickets: FCBB vs. Göttingen
The "Sternstunden" gameday starts at 15:00 CET in the Audi Dome.
For the BG, the sixth season since their return to the top of the league is also about remaining in the first league. The Lower Saxons, who lost their leader Michael Stockton (Colet/FRA) and Derek Willis (Ulm) in the summer, celebrated their first victory against Oldenburg (104-87) on the seventh gameday. The second followed in Hamburg (93-87) but most recently they lost 90-63 at home against Giessen. Topscorer for BG is 23-year-old Power Forward Terry Allen (13 ppg), who came over from Israel. The former Berliner, Bennet Hundt (11.2/5.4 apg) has played a big role as well.

The Bavarians, on the other hand, have to cope not only with a tight schedule, but also with injuries. They are now without Mathias Lessort due to injury and they also have to replace four regulars who have been out an extended amount of time. In the last practice before the departure to Israel, Leon Radosevic fell badly and will now miss at least ten days. Nihad Djedovic (knee) is still training alone. Rays of hope: Josh Huestis is expected back next week in team training, while TJ Bray started running in the and could finally play towards the end of December.
Collection for Münchner Tafel
At the home game against Göttingen, the FCBB will collect food for needy fellow citizens* in front of the main entrance, which the team will hand over next Tuesday at the "Münchner Tafel". Especially needed are durable foods (pasta, rice, canned food, coffee, tea, dairy products, sweets, baby food etc.).
