Bayern's tenth BBL season begins in the Audi Dome against Rasta Vechta

The Bayern basketball team will start their tenth BBL season with a home game against Rasta Vechta in the Audi Dome on Sunday, November 8th (18:00). This is according to the 2020/21 schedule, which was published by easyCredit BBL on Tuesday. One week later, head coach Andrea Trinchieri's team will travel to Frankfurt (15 November) before they can take revenge against Ludwigsburg on the third day of play (22 November, 18:00.)

The first meeting with defending champion Alba Berlin - in the EuroLeague, they will meet on 9 October - is scheduled for the eleventh BBL gameday on 3 January 2021. The return game of the two championship favorites will take place on the 30th gameday (25.4.) in the Audi Dome. The first rivalry game against Bamberg will take place in Munich two days after Christmas (27.12.) The regular season ends for the FCBB on May 8th in Ludwigsburg.

This time, the Basketball Bundesliga again comprises 18 teams, with Chemnitz rising to the top league for the first time. Due to the Corona Pandemic, the start of the season was postponed by a month until November. Prior to this, the group phase of the BBL Cup and then the Top Four (November 1-2) will be played. The FCBB start here at the southern venue of Weissenfels against Bayreuth (18.10.), the other games against the local MBC and Crailsheim are scheduled for October 25/26. The group winner reaches the top four of the German cup.

Bayern's start in the EuroLeague against the Italian play-off candidate Armani Olimpia Milan is already scheduled for Friday, October 2nd (20:30).
