The pre-season schedule for the FCBB players is set

In the Audi Dome, work is still being done for the new season, while the team around head coach Andrea Trinchieri enjoys its last days of vacation. But the German Cup winner's preparation plan is now set, and an important core of the preseason will once again be a training camp as a guest of "Bruneck Kronplatz Tourism": from August 30 to September 4, the Munich team will work on the basics for the 2021/2022 season in the exclusive FCBB vacation region. During their stay in Bruneck, Bayern will also have a test game in Bolzano against the Italian second division club Verona, to which FCBB youngster Sasha Grant is on loan.

 

In the days before, Bayern will take part in the eleventh edition of the City of Cagliari tournament (August 27/28) in Sardinia. There, the FCBB will first meet the local EuroCup starter Dinamo Sassari. Other participants are EuroLeague competitor Baskonia Vítoria as well as the Italian first division team Napoli Basket.

Top-class "MagentaSport Cup" in the Audi Dome

From Bruneck, Bayern will travel on to the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, where they will play an exhibition game at the local EuroCup team KK Cedevita Olimpija, as they did last year.

The Munich-based team then wants to fine-tune its skills at two more tournaments. The first will be the "MagentaSport Cup" at the Audi Dome on the weekend of September 11-12. The two EuroLeague teams Panathinaikos Athens and Red Star Belgrade as well as the Italian champions Virtus Bologna have confirmed their participation. Further information on this highlight tournament will be announced shortly.

The dress rehearsal for Bayern's BBL opener on September 26 in the Audi Dome against Ulm will then take place a week earlier at Medi Bayreuth's "expert Jakob Cup". There, the FCBB will meet the French top team SIG Strasburg, other participants are Mitteldeutscher BC and host Bayreuth.
