The start of the season for the Bayern Basketball team is getting closer: With the participation in this small tournament played at Medi Bayreuth this weekend, the team of head coach Andrea Trinchieri concludes its final series of test games - on Sunday in one week (26.9., 18:00 at the Audi Dome) the new BBL season will begin for the German Cup winners.
In Bayreuth, the FCBB will face former French champion SIG Strasbourg in its semifinal game on Saturday night (Sept. 18, 17:00). The second game will be between host Bayreuth and Mitteldeutscher BC (19:30).

The final games of the "expert Jakob Cup" will take place on Sunday at 14:30 (3d place game) and 17:00. Bayreuth will stream all games, the online links of the FCBB games (each 15 minutes before tip-off) will be available on the Bayern homepage and social media channels. In the Oberfrankenhalle, 1,400 fans will be allowed to attend.
It is certain that the FCBB are yet to have their best lineup due to injuries and planned rotation, and the injury concerns with Othello Hunter remain a worry. Strasbourg's season doesn't start until the beginning of October, most recently they lost a test against LNB rival Elan Chalon 89-76.
